Reflections (Diana Ross and the Supremes album) → Reflections (The Supremes album) – "Reflections" was recorded while the group was billed as "The Supremes," with Florence Ballard, and after Ballard's firing by Motown and with her replacement Cindy Birdsong and the group's new billing, "Diana Ross & the Supremes." The group, whether the Primettes or whatever billing, is commonly "The Supremes" in whatever reference with the group featuring Diana Ross and Mary Wilson, with Ballard and later Birdsong. Ross and Wilson perform with both Ballard and Birdsong on the album. Billboard, Nielsen and Motown catalogs all count "Diana Ross & the Supremes" as "The Supremes" for recordkeeping. Compare "Diana Ross & the Supremes" to "Smokey Robinson & the Miracles" or "Paul McCartney & Wings;" in the latter examples, records with or without Robinson or McCartney's name in the billing are counted as the "Miracles" or "Wings," respectively, for recordkeeping.
