According to the article of William Mowse, he was holding the chair from 1554. According to this article, it was William Aubrey. Which one is right? Yotwen (talk) 20:42, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
Gap
[edit]There is a long period between Richard Zouch and Henry Brooke, within which the article states no holder of the chair. However, from a Guide to the University of 1776, I picked up two futher names and the year, the took the chair:
- 1672-1712: Thomas Bouchier
- 1712-1736: James Bouchier
((1766) A pocket companion for Oxford or Guide through the University; Blenheim, Ditchley, and Stow; on Google Books; Page 106;) I'd hate to add something wrong, so please confirm and edit. Yotwen (talk) 13:23, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- Confirmed Bouchier father and son as Regius professors. Though their reception appears to have been less enthusiastic, search for James Bouchier here and smirk. Yotwen (talk) 13:58, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
