Poorly researched with no citations![edit]

Most of this article was lifted directly from an English language Hungarian interview. Illy is almost certainly not a Hungarian name but a French one with his father being a Magyarized German. Stardude82 (talk) 17:41, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry Stardude82 but you do not pot forward any argument or citation for your assertion. Illy is certainly a Hungarian surname, an example of Hungarian locative surnames that can end in -i/y. Just pick up a Hungarian phonebook, search the net or facebook, linkedin you will find many Hungarian individuals with this last name. Regarding the grandfather of Riccardo Illy, Francesco Illy: At romanian resource http://www.orizonturiculturale.ro/ro_studii_Pe-urmele-lui-Francesco-Illy.html you can find the original church records which show that his father was indeed Hungarian Illy János (written the same way) a Hungarian carpenter and his mother German Rössler Aloisia. He was baptised as Illy Ferencz. (Note the old Hungarian writing way. ) Anonymusz (talk) 09:37, 05 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
