Negative

Clearly biased towards a negative stance. While sourced, this doesn't comply with NPOV guidelines. Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 14:51, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This page should be renamed

[edit]

Shene School has now closed and was replaced in September 2010 with a new school on the same site - Richmond Park Academy - see Richmond Council's announcement of 18 August 2010 at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/home/council_government_and_democracy/council/civic-offices/departments/communications/press_office/press_releases/august_2010_press_releases/richmond_park_academy_approved_by_ministers.htm and the new academy's website at http://www.richmondparkacademy.org/ Headhitter (talk) 15:59, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Shene SchoolRichmond Park Academy – As per above but will require deletion of redirect created in error. The article relates to all establishments located at the same site, and the title should reflect the current name. --KenBailey (talk) 13:08, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Richmond County School for Boys

[edit]

I am inclined to move the content relating to Richmond County School for Boys to a separate article. Although it was an early forerunner to the subsequent institutions, it was solely based in Richmond at the Kew Road site whereas the remainder of the article in its current form relates to the successive institutions in Sheen, on the Park Ave/Hertford Ave site. If we add info about the East Sheen County School for Girls to this article then we can cross reference the equivalent merger of the Girls schools to Richmond County School for Girls which also occurred in 1939 as part of the same economy drive. I'm happy to leave the content here though if there are good arguments to the contrary. I'll give it a month before I move it. Thanks. KenBailey (talk) 00:12, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article Reassessment May 2011

[edit]

My overall impression is that this is a well researched article with a good amount of content of information, so I am going to assess this article as C grade, (with a rating of Low on WikiProject Schools).

This article could however do with some improvements, most notably most of the information in the final 3 paragraphs on Sheen College, are lacking references. The list of Alumni also contains a number who would be regarded as not notable as per WP:NOTABILITY and as such do not have their own articles, so I would crop this list down. The majority of the article is regarding the history of the school, so I would also add some information about the school in the present day, following its conversion to an academy.
