Fataar's Age

[edit]

The article begins like this: Ricky Fataar (born 5 September 1952 in Durban, South Africa) is a South African musician who is primarily a drummer. The first sentence of the next paragraph is: He was originally part of The Flames, a band from his birthplace of Durban, South Africa that began in 1963. He joined the band at the age of nine years old. But if he joined The Flames at the age of 9 in 1963, he would have had to been born in 1954. If he joined The Flames later than 1963, his year of birth must also be pushed back correspondingly. http://hem.passagen.se/honga/database/f/fataarricky.html lists him as joining The Flames in 1965, making him EITHER born in 1956 (if he was 9 when he joined The Flames) OR he was 13 when he joined The Flames in 1965 - and this is, to me, more likely. At any rate, I will leave this matter to be decided by someone who actually cares about it. Hi There 15:10, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How could someone not care about Ricky Fataar? He's Ricky Fataar, for heaven's sake! Ricky Fataar! -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 17:52, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alligators All Around

[edit]

Ricky is a drummer. The article points out that, when he joined The Rutles, "his character was Stig O'Hara, the band's guitarist". Did Ricky actually play the guitar when acting in The Rutles, or was he dubbed by e.g. Neil Innes? -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 17:52, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Boz Scaggs

[edit]

I believe that Ricky was extensively involved in at least one Boz Scaggs project, the album Some Change. It might be worth mentioning this here, given Scaggs' importance.

Music career section missing 2 paras.

[edit]

Is there any particular reason why the 2nd & 3rd paras of the other career section aren’t in Music career one? Record production and studio session work as a musician are both work in the Music sphere. Boscaswell talk 04:19, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
