The 'Rifle 1972' photo is almost certainly not from 1972, since the Ford pickup shown is a sixth-generation F-series. These weren't on the market until December of 1972. The street scene features people in lightweight clothing, not typical for December in Rifle.

Oil Shale Comment

The article contains the comment that oil shale is “unreliable.” What is that supposed to mean? Does it mean that it’s only unreliable if its oil production is cut off for political reasons, or what? Where is a footnote justifying this comment? 63.155.42.108 (talk) 07:40, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
