He writes on the Hebrew Bible. Is he Jewish? Does he have any knowledge of Jewish views of the Bible? Do his commentaries take into account Judaism's oral law about the Bible? Are the commentators he relies on all Christian, or does he read Jewish biblical commentators, meforshim as well? These would seem to be important things to note in an article on someone who makes a living commenting on the Jewish bible. RK (talk) 18:41, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

He primarily draws from Jewish commentaries in his books. I do not know if he is Jewish himself.
