Math Sci Press
[edit]The article identifies Hermann's publisher as Mathematical Sciences Press when the name is actually abbreviated. Searching under the two titles shows the abbreviation is used, not the expanded form. — Rgdboer (talk) 23:00, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- Changes have made Math Sci Press the house name. Note that the data base site isbndb says Math-sci Press. — Rgdboer (talk) 22:56, 26 June 2023 (UTC)
Autobiography
[edit]A personal sketch of his career is given in Twenty-five years as a mathematician. This primary source may be used to expand the short biography given currently. The large contribution of Robert Hermann calls for assimilation. — Rgdboer (talk) 22:32, 3 June 2023 (UTC)
Zenga
[edit]The reviews are stinging. Hermann did not like to proofread or make revisions. There are other criticisms, but failure to fix typographical errors or correct blemishes mars the output of this prolific author in modern mathematical physics. Hermann's writing resembles "the sumiye method of painting which must be executed in a single action, once and for all, without hesitation and without making any later changes." (James Feibleman (1976) Understanding Oriental Philosophy, pages 258,9 Horizon Press ISBN 0-8180-1321-4) A similar attitude is expressed at Ensō.
Evidently this notable writer has attracted little contribution in this Project.Rgdboer (talk) 22:36, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
