Suggestions

Just some suggestions to the couple folks who are putting some serious edit work into this article (great job, by the way!!). First, there are no citations, which makes the whole article weak. Some things are completely unverifiable (the new name for the Commons not sticking amongst students, for example). Along those lines too, there are some clear point of view problems (an encyclopedia article shouldn't mention what the university takes "pride" in, for example... unless there's a quote somewhere). I'd also suggest reconsidering what is included as notable or, perhaps, more notable than other information. Maybe "Service education" could be a subsection under "Academics"? Maybe one big section on "Student life" that combines Student Activities, Greek life, and Campus ministry? My personal opinion also is that the facilities prose is far too long and some of the other sections are somewhat weak by comparison (Athletics, for one... though combining under those larger blanket sections would certainly help). Also, there's no fair use rationale for the images on here, which are clearly taken from the university's copyrighted web site. My feeling is that a free use image is easily found (i.e. take your camera and get the same images yourself and release to the public domain). I hope this is helpful! -Midnightdreary 02:55, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

By the way, the anonymous user (or, perhaps, users) who has been working on this article should consider actually signing up for an account! At the very least, please, please use edit summaries!!! -Midnightdreary 00:06, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your suggestions. They are much appreciated. I do have an account, but usually don't bother to sign in, so two of the IP addresses that make most of the changes are actually me at the two computers I use regularly. Thanks again! Shaverc 02:05, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
