Another Russell Manners
[edit]Alumni Cantabrigenses says that this Manners served with the Army in India, the Peninsula, and at Toulouse. This is a confusion with Lieutenant-Colonel Russell Manners CB of the 74th Foot, who died 25 January 1850 and was buried at St James's Churchyard, Shirley. For his service with the 74th, see Cannon. He is described as the MP's cousin by History of Parliament (which wrongly refers to him as Lt.-Gen. Russell Manners). Opera hat (talk) 10:29, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
