Dear user,

I also don't consider him as an Islamic expert, but he is the Russian Federation's "Islamic expert" No.1. And I added his current poisition in the Expert Council for State Theological Expertise at the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation to show that. If it is not a proof then what? Besides, in Russian-language press he is always quoted as "Islamic expert". Bests, Ali-al-Bakuvi (talk) 11:20, 13 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Very poorly written article

[edit]

The article doesn't explain well, just saying it's an ethnico-religious group, called "Russian muslims" who converted to islam. So is it religious? Ethnics? If they converted to islam, who were those people before? If they are an ethic group, if one of them convert to another religion, how they are called? "Christian Russian Muslims"? If a Russian convert to islam is he " Russian muslims".

I guess it's an ethnic group, mostly Muslim, but it's badly explained.

"who had converted to Islam (WHY???) and were able to preserve their Russian identity (What does it mean???). This sentence alone means nothing.

Later, the article says "Former priest of Russian Orthodox Church, Russian Muslim Ali Vyacheslav Polosin, ideological inspirer of the Russian Muslims’ organization “Straight Path”"Former priest of Russian Orthodox Church, Russian Muslim Ali Vyacheslav Polosin, ideological inspirer of the Russian Muslims’ organization “Straight Path” (Russian: Прямой путь) declared the population of ethnic Russians who converted to Islam to be approximately 10,000 as of early 2003"

So, it's not an ethnic group anymore, it's only Russian people (whatever ethnicity) who converted to Islam?

Everything is messed up in this article!

"In January–June 2014 52 ethnic Russians in Turkey converted to Islam according to the Presidency of Religious Affairs"

So, how it is an ethnico-religious group, if it counts new converted to islam. This article is a nonsense the way it is now.

Are Italian Muslims, French Muslims, German Muslims "ethnico-religious groups" that worth pages on wikipedia? If this page talks about a real ethnic group, like Uigur. Please clarify in this article.
