[edit]

Sebastian Foucan did not cofound parkour by his own admission. He was a very early proponent and a member of the origional Yamakasi but he did not play any role in the creation of parkour itself. David Belle was the sole founder of parkour with his father Raymond and of course George Hebert as his inspiration.

Recent interviews with foucan reveal he only does parkour for the publicity.

Where are those interviews?

By the way, NEITHER invented it. And if you don't believe me, check out this video probing it: http://www.yourdailymedia.com/media/1229524788/Parkour_the_1930s —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.78.70.215 (talk) 22:24, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've turned the interview addition into its own section. In time I suggest eliminating this section altogether, and incorporating material from it into the main lead section. hateless 20:33, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PK v Free Running

[edit]

This page seems to contradict the Parkour and Free Running pages, both of which refer to them as seperate disciplines and Foucan as a practitioner of Free Running. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.217.93.82 (talk) 11:55, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

cleanup tag?

Would it be appropriate to place a cleanup tag on this article? The two main sections look independently written and should be merged. I've never placed one so I'm not sure. Squish7 (talk) 06:40, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I saw your question and did a quick cleanup pass on the article. It looked to me like a combination of vandalism and duplication, and I think I kept in everything of importance. How's it look to you? DoriTalkContribs 06:50, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
