The article needs to be moved to São Francisco River to conform with the name of the other Brazilian river articles. Also, it is easier to English speakers to find the article named in this way. Regards, Carioca 17:55, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

English Sao Francisco River

[edit]

Today I uploaded my version of the English Sao Francisco River. Somehow I got the name right! I have left the original content intact, because the writer had historic niceties that should stay. My goal was to extend the article, especially with data from brazilian government agencies. Somehow the info/river does not work yet as is the case with the images. I see that I have some tidying up to do! Gerard Pieter Koenraadt 17:23, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Saint Franciscus

[edit]

Someone drew my attention to the fact that in de Encyclopedia Brittanica it is written that the river was named after Saint Franciscus of Borgia instead of snt Franciscus of Assisi. The Portuguese page has Assisi. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.2.160.178 (talk) 16:42, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
