The statement: "In spring 1980 she was steamed up again to run as part of a lease agreement with the Ann Arbor Railroad.." in wrong because the article on the Ann Arbor Railroad says it ceased operating due to bankruptcy in 1976. The line was transferred to Conrail/then Michigan DOT before being sold and eventually abandoned. I'm not sure what entity was operating in in 1980, but it wasn't the Ann Arbor Railroad.

Reasons for decommissioning?
[edit]My grandfather was Chief Engineer on the City of Midland and I remember him talking about a major mechanical issue that caused the Spartan to be parked. At the time the City of Midland was 11 years older and operated until 1988. I'm trying to find out what the mechanical issue was and will continue researching and see if I can find out what happened. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.171.108.198 (talk) 17:50, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
Can you add Coord on Wiki for me?
[edit]43.948449, -86.450362 Spartan has been laid up at the 2 1/2 dock in Ludington. CFBancroft (talk) 14:59, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
- Done. Thanks for finding the location.
- You could add this yourself. The {{Coord}} template isn't too awkward to use, so long as you have decimal coords ready. Andy Dingley (talk) 15:16, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
