What is phenosafranine?

Equinox (talk) 00:54, 27 November 2015 (UTC) Phenosafranine C18H15ClN4[1] Also mentioned in Photographic facts and formulas, page 28 and a desensitizing dye for photographic plates to allow them to be processed without a darkroom, once stained (red?).[2]
