Comment

I included the name of Grace Elliott in this page because I am currently reading her memoirs and she related that this was the prison she was put in. So, I thought maybe she and Roland were the only female prisoners kept there. But continuing she relates that a Madame Laurent and other women she does not name were also there.

So, the idea that Madame Roland was the only female prisoner is unsubstantiated.
