Contested deletion[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Evilmichaelscarn (talk) 15:17, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I tried explaining myself earlier Praxidicae. The subject is one of the richest people in Singapore (and in that vein, Asia), so I think he is definitely worthy of a page and meets general notability guidelines. I can take another crack at removing promotional language if you'd like. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evilmichaelscarn (talkcontribs) 15:17, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Praxidicae: When Praxidicae tagged it, he used the "advertising/promotional" tag, which means the page would need to be re-written. He is NOT claiming one way or the other that that the person does or does not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. People and other topics who do NOT meet this criteria should not have articles. Articles about people or things that DO meet the criteria but which are overly promotional and which would need a total rewrite can be deleted under the "G11"/advertising criteria. See Wikipedia:Blow it up and start over an essay on this topic. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:27, 4 March 2020 (UTC) Fixed ypo. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:02, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Note - the page was deleted but restored by the deleting administrator. Based on discussion elsewhere, the undesired comment will be greatly reduced or eliminated in the coming days. I recommend that it not be marked for speedy-deleted for spam/promo/advertising reasons for a few days unless it becomes obvious the page is not being improved (that is, if the page becomes more promotional rather than less). Here is a "diff" of the edit of March 4 which placed the "db-spam" tag on the page and the live version of the page. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:04, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional content[edit]

Hi Praxidicae, I've removed more promotional content. Is there any more remaining in the article? Please let me know how I can improve further. Thanks! Evilmichaelscarn (talk) 17:33, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Praxidicae I'm curious as to what content on this page is promotional. I've been researching this guy for a story and nothing seems to be particularly egregious based on wiki guidelines. As a budding contributor, any guidance you could give would be gratefully received so I can understand this kind of issue Theresmolimit (talk) 16:16, 5 April 2020 (GMT)
