Glue

[edit]

I heard that the glue reference was a joke, based on that the woman was very "sticky", and when she was looking for information and scoops, it was impossible to get rid of her. (Also, this might or might not be true, but the constant bickering between Seccotine and Fantasio has been interpreted as an infatuation none of them were willing to admit. It could be they just get on each others nerves, though) 惑乱 分からん 13:49, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In the Dutch translation of the comic, Sophie's name is 'IJzerlijm', which means, literally, 'Iron glue'. Since the translation contains a glue reference as well, I don't think it is a joke. -- Bakabaka 16:25, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Besides, the Fantasio-Seccotine infatuation possibility is at least lessened in likeliness considering the events of Machine qui rêve, in which she expressen rather explicit interest in Spirou. -- Bakabaka 09:32, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

'Seccotine' was the brand name of a popular type of glue in a squeezable tube in Britain 'for over 60 years' (from a 1962 advertisement). 109.144.255.15 (talk) 22:30, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikification tag

[edit]

Should it be removed? I added two or three and the article seems quite well-linked to me now. -- Bakabaka 09:47, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Madeleine de Proust

[edit]

Can someone explain me what this expression means? I tried to wkfy it, but the link turns up dead at least in English and French Wikipedia. -- Bakabaka 09:47, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's explained in the Madeleine article. It's an object or phenomena that relentlessly brings back old memories. Might need some clarification. 惑乱 分からん 16:57, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Revert to article

[edit]

I boldly moved back the bulk of the text from the previous placement in Characters in Spirou et Fantasio for a couple of reasons. The material is of a size that justifies its own article, it has at least one interwiki, and at the previous location, the text was considered to be simply entries to a list, and therefore not acceptable for image illustration under WP:FAIRUSE.
