This page has been established in order to more clearly present a summary of the scientific material (and some regulatory material) around second-hand smoke. Searching for 'second-hand smoke' and 'secondhand smoke' (i.e. with and without the hyphen) reveals that this is now the accepted scientific term, although the older term passive smoking remains sufficiently widely in use to merit a definition on a separate Wikipedia page. This page borrows heavily from a previous passive smoking article as a result (with full credit to contributors who remain listed in the passive smoking page history), but also adds new references.
