The Anarchy[edit]

"De Montfort"[edit]

From "De Montfort" this and "De Montfort" that in the text, it appears that editors of this article think "De Montfort" was Simon's surname, and that you'd be looking it up under "D".--Wetman (talk) 04:52, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

de Montfort marriage[edit]

There seems to be a contradiction between this article and the one on Simon de Montfort.

This one says "he [de Montfort] married Henry’s sister Eleanor without consulting Henry: a feud developed between the two". The other says "While this marriage took place with the king's approval, the act itself was performed secretly and without consulting the great barons, as a marriage of such importance warranted".

So was Henry consulted or not?
