Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... as I said when I made my first edit, he has already achieved a number 1! on the Capital FM top 40 and is very likely to achieve a number 1 on the official midweek chart today which is likely to lead to an official #1 on Sunday. If having a #1 song isn't notable then I don't know what is!--Guyb123321 (talk) 14:15, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
- I suggest you annotate the article to that effect and add a source.--Launchballer 14:17, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
Added section, I seriously don't get the point in deleting this page considering after he charts on Sunday a page will need to be created for him anywayGuyb123321 (talk) 14:22, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
- Per WP:TOOSOON. I've unspeedied it. WP:MUSICBIO#C2 requires an official chart, though.--Launchballer 14:30, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
The official midweeks come out in 29 minutes, will that count :) (I can pretty much guarantee it's going to go straight to number 1) Guyb123321 (talk) 14:31, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
- Articles should be created after a person has become notable, not when you think they probably will. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 14:43, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
- As I said before, he's already achived #1 on the unofficial Capital FM charts, thats pretty notableGuyb123321 (talk) 14:46, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
- And there it is, #1 on the official chart update Guyb123321 (talk) 15:00, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

CamelCase?
[edit]Pretty sure the artist is called Secondcity without the CamelCase (see the cover art of 'I Wanna Feel').Fortytwo200 (talk) 17:42, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
He uses camel case on his fb page - https://www.facebook.com/scndcty If you look at the Radio 1 Official Top 40 he uses camel case there too - http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/singles
And all these news articles - http://www.idolator.com/7520802/secondcity-i-wanna-feel-watch-video; http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/secondcity-enters-at-number-1-with-i-wanna-feel-3054/; http://metro.co.uk/2014/06/01/when-the-underground-became-the-overground-secondcity-claims-first-uk-number-one-single-4746437/
I would say the majority of sources have it using camel case...Guyb123321 (talk) 11:46, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
He is 'Secondcity' on YouTube, SoundCloud, Twitter, iTunes, the website of his record label, his cover art as I mentioned before (and the first sentence of this very article apparently, in contradiction to the title). Not Facebook admittedly, but that's still a large majority in favour of no camel case from sources which are actually connected to the artist, which I would call more 'reliable' than a bunch of random news articles that were written by people who are not in any way affiliated with him.Fortytwo200 (talk) 17:39, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
