Determining notability

[edit]

I do not know if "Professor and holder of the Otto Beisheim Endowed Chair of Innovation and Corporate Transformation at the WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management" (my emphasis) is enough to satisfy WP:NPROF's "5. The person has held a named chair appointment or "Distinguished Professor" appointment at a major institution of higher education and research (or an equivalent position in countries where named chairs are uncommon). For documenting that a person has held such an appointment (but not for a judgement of whether or not the institution is a major one), publications of the appointing institution are considered a reliable source. Criterion 5 can be applied reliably only for persons who are tenured at the full professor level, and not for junior faculty members with endowed appointments. Major institutions, for these purposes, are those that have a reputation for excellence or selectivity. Named chairs at other institutions are not necessarily sufficient to establish notability." (my emphasis) Is he a "Distinguished Professor"? Is WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management a major institution? Concerning the Otto Beisheim Endowed Chair of Innovation and Corporate Transformation, on financial endowment, Wikipedia says "The most common examples are endowed professorships (also known as named chairs)".

Presumably "Associate Dean for Corporate Communications at the WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management at the WHU Düsseldorf campus" is not enough to satisfy WP:NPROF's "6. The person has held a highest-level elected or appointed administrative post at a major academic institution or major academic society. Lesser administrative posts (provost, dean, department chair, etc.) are generally not sufficient to qualify under Criterion 6 alone..." -Lopifalko (talk) 08:37, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disclosure about suspected payments by Shelley Steinhorst (I deleted the warning sign today, February 5th 2020)

I wanted also to disclose here, that I, Shelley Steinhorst (who has used my real name on purpose for my account name, so that there should be no suspicion), am not being paid for the website. I made a full disclosure on my Wikipedia user page (I work for WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management as the PA of Prof. Özcan) - it was my idea to create the wikipedia page for Prof. Ozcan, because I saw that many WHU professors have pages in German. I started with the English page to practice and then I translated it into German. I mainly use my private computer - and my free time - to create the page. I have kept to Wikipedia guidelines. Prof Özcan is the founder of an international annual conference that the WHU will likely have created through their Chair account (WHUChairInnovation) it seemed useful to have that future website link to Prof. Ozcan. I hope this clears up the matter. Please contact me with any questions or advice - I know that some Chairs at the WHU use official Chair accounts - if this is better, please let me know. Thanks!
