Definitive list?

[edit]

I'm having trouble finding a definitive list of who the seven princes are. Some lists include Satan himself, and associate each prince/demon with one of the seven deadly sins, but even these lists disagree on the full seven.

A search of 'seven princes of Hell' on wikipedia throws us:

Any experts on Christian demonology? 188.222.94.48 (talk) 11:53, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The latter two are often considered the same demon in many sources. You're right though, a definitive source is hard (impossible?) to find. I'd suggest anyone with a decent grip on Biblical text, or demonology insofar as it relates to Christianity and/or Abrahamic religion should tackle this. I'll write up a stub so the article attracts a little more attention. Grunners (talk) 13:21, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
the history channel series on 7 deadly sins names the princes as is, except in place of satan as prince of anger uses a demon named Ammon, I feel it's safe to assume the series is well researched.

Well, it'd be nice to have a source to cite. Also, the list given right now is Peter Binsfield's list; which did not include Ammon. Who was the author of the list that included Ammon? Ian.thomson (talk) 15:12, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

This is a stub article that focuses on a small facet of the mythology behind the deadly sins. A merge would be both easy and reasonable.72.12.219.170 (talk) 23:49, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
