Eteoclus ... or Eteocles?

The fourth sentence of the first para mentions Eteoclus — but in the fifth sentence of the second para it's Eteocles, as also in The war against Thebes, and in the caption of the painting by Tiepolo; but in the table of The Seven (in the section The "Seven" champions) it's again Eteoclus, and again in Seven against Thebes (under Principal sources - Fifth century BC). However, under Late sources, the spelling reverts to Eteocles. One consistent spelling would be good … but which one? Prisoner of Zenda (talk) 06:48, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Prisoner of Zenda: Eteoclus (son of Iphis, and sometimes one of the "Seven" Argive champions) and Eteocles (son of Oedipus, brother of Polynices and the Theban king) are two different people. Paul August ☎ 12:03, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Move?

There’s another page for the play which has the same title except for capitalization of “against”. Obviously that’s confusing. Adding “(mythology)” to the end of this title removes the confusion. Cf. Yes I see the possibility for confusion. However each of these articles has a hat note which mentions the other, so I don't think there is much room for confusion. But if there is a consensus that we must disambiguate one of them, I would suggest disambiguating the play. Paul August ☎ 16:04, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at other cases where there is a play and a mythological character of the same name, we seem to quite frequently have "(play)" added to the name of the page for the play, while the mythological character holds the main page. A few examples would be: Andromache and Andromache (play), Medea and Medea (play), Electra, Electra (Euripides play) and Electra (Sophocles play), Orestes and Orestes (play), Hecuba and Hecuba (play), and Alcestis and Alcestis (play). It would make more sense in my eyes to move Seven Against Thebes to Seven Against Thebes (play), rather than moving this page, which is for the mythological characters themselves (and thus in my view would be the primary page). – Michael Aurel (talk) 16:36, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
