Fair use rationale for Image:Shenfield High School logo.gif[edit]

Image:Shenfield High School logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Historically[edit]

Things to add:

  • names of the forms, like South Mildmay, etc. From the start forms were North, South, East & West. Houses were Mildmay, Lucas, Petre & Vaughan
  • founders of the school
  • the old school badge (let's not discuss the new one)
  • why the golden spurs?
  • former focus of the school It was a technical school at first, then a technical high
  • gender segregation in classes (if not already mentioned), and the international response to that
  • notable former students/teachers(?) - like the drama teacher who played a role in Star Wars (storm trooper) ^^ His name was Mr Morse.

Did (the)Richard Madeley really go to this school, I thought that was a myth? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.149.147.46 (talk) 16:07, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This page links to all the graduates pages on Facebook from many years back, and the current school doesn't seem much like the school they knew. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.20.112.199 (talk) 21:16, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Overly promotional tone[edit]

It appears that the page may have been edited under direction of the school itself in order to remove some unappealing information such as Ofsted scores and the changes of wording to make certain achievements appear greater than they may be in reality. I ask to remind any editors that wikipedia articles should be written in a neutral tone and not censored and that changes made to an article should only be made in order to add new content or improve existing content rather then remove useful information already present especially in smaller articles such as this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.205.235.168 (talk) 20:54, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted out recent edits as they removed the infobox and formatting. Also somehow it got the linefeeds missing so the text did not wrap correctly, could be the visual editor that caused these problems. Keith D (talk) 23:24, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Former pupils[edit]

Some person has modified the list of former pupils who went to this school but I cannot work out how to reverse it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C7:E90A:4601:FCCC:8E25:A6A2:D8ED (talk) 09:34, 18 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
