Chess team results

[edit]

I have removed the details of chess team results from the article because there is no assertion of notability. To be notable, the team would need to (for example) win or be placed highly in a recognised and/or national competition. Even then, the individual names of chess team members is unlikely to be notable enough for inclusion in the article on the school. What passes for notability can be found at WP:N. There is not a category for chess teams, but some useful guidance might be found under the active proposal for sports people in the list on the right.

If you wish to re-add the chess team details and think they emet the notability criteria, please discuss here first.

I have also removed the sentence on academic results in 2006, because it was:

  • provided without context (it is not clear to an outside reader what the numbers mean or how they compare with other schools)
  • out of date (it is no longer 2006); and
  • written like an advertisement (without having a copy handy I suspect it is a cut and paste from a school newsletter)

If anyone has more up to date material on academic outcomes and how they add to the notability of the school, please feel free to include them in the article. Euryalus 00:25, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
