Took out the Death of Achilles reference

[edit]

Mother Pelageya mentioned in the Death of Achilles is NOT Sister Pelagiya. It is obvious both from the timelines of repsective books and from the description of the two characters. Pelagiya is 32 years old in the Black Monk, which takes place at the turn of the century. She was born no earlier than the laste 1860s. There is no possible way she could've been an abbess in the 1850s, during Achimas' boyhood.--Tighina 04:21, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Zavolzhsk

[edit]

The real Zavolzhsk was founded in 1934, long after the events take place. Furthermore, it was never a center of a province, but rather a part of a large Ivanovo province. Therefore, the city in the Pelagia novels cannot refer to the real Zavolzhsk, whether fictionalized or authentic. It is obviously a fictitious city, as well as the entire province which surrounds it, including the village of Drozdovka and the New Ararat monastery. Tighina 09:41, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article does not make a good case that the character is notable. I suggest this is rewritten into an article about the Sister Pelagia series. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 01:35, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
