Was the class named for the Russian battleship Slava? A2Kafir 00:56, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Slava class ship flagship for Black sea fleet?

[edit]

[1]

Moskva is described as the flagship for the black sea fleet. Shouldn't this be added as well as the successful missle test and exercise? 69.208.228.193 (talk) 15:40, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's also recently been in action against the Georgians in recent days, and some reports state that it was damaged and had to disengage due to a fire. If the sources bear out it would lend credence to the GlobalSecurity.org assessment that the type is vulnerable to this. 2p0rk (talk) 13:42, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

These supposed damage reports have been dismissed, and have no backing. Also the claims by GS are dubious, and have been ridiculed in essentially all Russian sources regarding the ships. -Shamil —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.10.113.101 (talk) 08:37, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Change "sunk by Ukraine" to at least "possibly sunk by Ukraine", as it has not been proven 93.22.38.169 (talk) 05:21, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit semi-protected}} template. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 09:24, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If Pentagon says that they "cannot confirm" a missile attack, despite having complete radar coverage, it's pretty obvious that Ukraine is blowing smoke, as usual. DW75 (talk) 20:13, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Lost" subsection typo.

[edit]

Under "Lost" heading in the initial grid, it states "2" when the correct number is "1." Given the Moskva is referenced, I suspect it's a typo rather than miscalculation. 2601:19C:417F:DD00:14AE:56BA:F98:A43 (talk) 07:10, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Active" heading typo

[edit]

also just noticed that, pursuant to the "Lost" typo, the number under "Active" should be changed to "2" as they "Varyag" and "Marshall Ustinov" are both still in service presently. 2601:19C:417F:DD00:14AE:56BA:F98:A43 (talk) 07:14, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

COGOG

[edit]

This field of the infobox is a little strange, because lists STEAM turbines in a COGOG system. My feeling is that the field retains some info from an input source of a different ship. 151.29.75.212 (talk) 10:34, 16 April 2022 (UTC) Or perhaps recovers the heat of the funnels ... something is worth to be said ... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.29.75.212 (talk) 05:55, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Worth

[edit]

How much did it cost to build the ship or what was it's worth at the time of destruction? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shai-Huludim (talkcontribs) 10:22, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
