Fair use rationale for Image:Son of the Pink Panther DVD.jpg

[edit]

Image:Son of the Pink Panther DVD.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:55, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Both articles are of very little importance and of very little size, and the goals of the 'Jacques Gambrelli' article - which are really just to say 'he's the son of Clouseau' - can easily be attained in this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.107.24.213 (talk) 14:56, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The information is insufficient enough to make a substantial article. Merge.99.247.244.120 (talk) 02:43, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Yah[reply]

The last sentence of the production paragraph seems to make no sense - can someone interpret an fix it? "Before Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Animation established in the same year, the opening Pink Panther sequence is made by Desert Music Pictures." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.122.151.251 (talk) 20:01, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced information removed

[edit]

I recently did a major rewrite of the article, hoping to address all of the citation needed tags. Unfortunately I found that about half of the uncited info was spurious and had been present for 15+ years. Specifically with regard to the assertions that Tim Curry was considered for the role of Gambrelli and promotional artwork featuring him exists, I couldn't find any reliable sources backing this up. The ones I did find were questionable at best (e.g. somebody's blog on WordPress, or TVTropes) and most of them use wording very very similar to the article. I think the info, first added to the article back in 2007, was interpreted by other sources as if it were fact. I've removed all the potentially bad information for the moment, but I'm certainly open to re-adding it if people disagree — Majora4 (talk) 02:05, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
