from inspecting a map the border appears here to flow the a culverted Spencer Beck, with a diversion to include the entirety of the stadium in Redcar & Cleveland - can anyone confirm this? Morwen - Talk 16:36, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What Stadium are you referring to, The Riverside? The stadium is within the Middlesbrough Borough and not R & C. The boundary does follow the spencer beck and there is an area at the northern tip where it juts westwards and then eastwards again as it reaches the Tees. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.11.17.113 (talkcontribs)

This would be the South Tees Motorsport Park. Morwen - Talk 08:43, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notable people help

[edit]

An editor called Erimus1066 post the following information

James Cooper, Sailor HMS Courageous, sunk 17th September 1939
Anthony Escritt, Sailor HMS Courageous, sunk 17th September 1939

Unfortunately, it was unreferenced. Perhaps it could be of interest to anyone who could find out some background information. For that reason, I've left it here. Francis Hannaway (talk) 18:11, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have found the two records here: https://uboat.net/allies/merchants/crews/person/7750.html and https://uboat.net/allies/merchants/crews/person/7793.html confirming both men were born in South Bank. Does their death in this manner make them notable? Peterneal (talk) 07:24, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
