Image of PERTIS machine

[edit]

We do not need this image. Despite the claim "The machine is a feature of the station and is mentioned in the article" in the edit summary, similar machines are found at many stations and the image adds little to the reader's understanding of the main topic, that of Spondon railway station; and the only mention of the machine in the article is in the last sentence of the lead section, which says nothing beyond the fact that the station has such a machine. Apart from the alleged vandalised state, is this particular machine unique in some way? I really don't think so. Even if the image is encyclopedic, it is oversized (see WP:IMGSIZE), the caption is way too long (see MOS:CAPTION), is not neutral (see WP:NPOV) and not supported by a reference (see WP:V). --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:23, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Current Services section

[edit]

I find this section very confusing. It says that the service frequency is 1 tph to Matlock and 1 tph to Nottingham via Derby. This doesn't matter sense because Derby and Nottingham are in opposite directions. If the implication is that there are no eastbound services from this station then it should say so. If the implication is that there are no services at present because of the replacement bus service between the station and Derby, mentioned but not cited later in the section, then there should be a clarification. 87.75.117.183 (talk) 21:43, 30 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
