Attention
This article is in desperate need of attention and expansion. Much more info is needed, images should be added, etc.

Famous Football Moments
- 2006 Beitar Fan Lockin
- At an away game at an Arab village, Beitar Jerusalem fans were extremely roudy and violent, and were locked in to the stadium while Arab fans went home, preventing a violent riot.
I have removed this from the article for a couple of reasons:
- This is not a famous football moment.
- This is a very common thing. Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv fans have been locked in stadiums countless times, in games against arab teams and almost every game against Beitar Jerusalem. This also happens to a lot of other teams, and I don't think this should be in the article. Definitely not as a famous moment, anyway.

Leagues and Teams
I have removed the {{Fotball in Israel}} template as well. It has no place here and can be reached via Football in Israel, which is linked.

Article name
To be consistent with other Sports in Blank articles in Wikipedia, I am moving this article to Sports in Israel. Notice the addition of the s in Sports.

What about chess?
Israel has a lot of great chess players. I read that Beersheba, Israel has more chess masters per capita than any city in the world. That's pretty significant. —Rafi Neal |T/C 03:49, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah I guess we should add chess to the article, only I don't have any knowledge on the subject. If anyone else can step up and help, that would be great. # Ido50 (talk to me), at 20:39, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Baseball edit-
Being a Baseball fan in living in Israel myself, I edited the Baseball paragraph of the page and added the champions and their manager.Budabass (talk) 14:30, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Is this relevant/notable in Israeli soccer? --Shuki (talk) 23:02, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- The topic is notable, but I would make the article about the football team rather than the company (so move it to Hapoel Kiryat Shalom F.C.). пﮟოьεԻ 57 20:49, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
europe
there is no word in the article about israel being part of europe for sports... kernitou talk 06:47, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Ga-ga
Ga-Ga, a variant of dodgeball should be added, Frankly its disappointing that there are none of the smaller israeli sports. They belong in the article a lot more than the european type sports — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.207.129.95 (talk) 02:23, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
Fair play
section missing. Ok to add? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.90.197.87 (talk) 19:04, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
Orphaned references in Sports in Israel
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Sports in Israel's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
