Reference

The reference for this article is a fictional account of a fictional character. Granted, it's very powerful, but I don't think it's an acceptable source for the statements in this article. It might be fine for Wiktionary, but not here. If someone could find a better source for this, that would be great. Mak (talk) 03:35, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Stone femme ?

The term "Stone femme" has its own wiki page : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_Femme Does it need to be repeated here as well ? phrawzty (talk) 13:41, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Why hasn't this page been deleted?

Please stop removing the words "queer" and "trans" from the definition of stone butch. Many stone butches identify as transgender and/or queer, not only cis gender and lesbian and not only partnering with cis lesbian femmes. ALL of the references listed at the bottom of the article acknowledge this and Stone Butch Blues is about a queer trans stone butch (I've actually read them or have them on my shelf), yet the article itself continues to remove these words. -C — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.214.95.142 (talk) 04:28, 11 March 2016 (UTC)

I second the emotion in this subject header. There are people who think of themselves as "stone butch." There are, furthermore, SCORES of non-fiction references to the phenomenon. The only applicability of the novel is that it may be the first use of the term in print, and even that is not certain. The "article" itself includes a mass of spurious statements that aren't even justified by the novel. It is, in short, an insult to anyone who considers themselves stone butch, as though some random person were to write up a definition of any other identity, just making things up as they write, and Wikipedia were to let it stand. DELETE THIS UNTIL SUCH TIME AS SOMEONE STEPS UP TO WRITE A REAL ENTRY. Rentstrike (talk) 19:46, 19 July 2014 (UTC)

Let me get this right. The only reference, and indeed only possible reference, is to a novel? To fiction? Why is this even here? I mean apart from proving how ridiculous Wikipedia is. --62.60.98.133 (talk) 19:16, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

"Prostrate"????

The entire sentence:

Some stone butches may on occasion allow genital stimulation if the stimulation is done in a way that supports their masculine identity, such as a) touching their "chest" (not "breasts"), b) clitoral stimulation, whether oral or digital, that simulates penis strokes, and/or c) minimal vaginal entry that simulates prostrate manipulation - though the latter is very rare

appears to be completely unsupported by the Autostraddle cite given. The use of the word "prostrate" (neither which, nor the correctly spelled "prostate", can be found in the source) was a dead giveaway here. -- The Anome (talk) 19:22, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

Another possible cite

Femme/Butch: New Considerations of the Way We Want to Go ISBN 978-1560233015, looks like an interesting source. See page 17 onward. -- The Anome (talk) 19:49, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

Semi-protection requested

The same edit warring nonsense has been going on by anon accounts since at least June. I’ve requested semi-protection. Mathglot (talk) 03:44, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
