Fair use rationale for Image:SubconsciousLee.jpg
[edit]Image:SubconsciousLee.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The New Sounds
[edit]I changed the next album hyperlink to lead to the Conception compilation (PRLP 7013), instead of the Miles Davis album it was defaulting to (PRLP 124), while retaining The New Sounds as an alias. Several of the early Prestige 10"LPs shared the title The New Sounds, but there is no such page for the Konitz New Sounds album as of yet (PRLP 116). Conception, on the other hand, is a 12" compilation LP that actually reissued all the tracks from the Konitz album, so it is more appropriate to link to, at least as a proxy until the day a specific page is created for PRLP 116. I had previously added artwork, and some info regarding Davis's involvement, to that Conception page anyway, so it should be a somewhat satisfactory proxy for Konitz fans, and that material can be recycled/moved when the time comes.
Note that Konitz did several 10"LPs for Prestige, including two before The New Sounds (PRLP 116), see the Jazz Discography page here. And one of those was also called The New Sounds, just to mess us scholars up 65 years later. Comparing with this page's track listing, Subconscious-Lee is therefor a 12 "LP reissuing all the Konitz material from those two 10"LPs, plus yet other material originally released somewhere else (78s?)
Lee Konitz Quintet / Lennie Tristano Quintet (PRLP 101 ... the first Prestige 10"!)
Lee Konitz And Stan Getz – The New Sounds (PRLP 108)
note theres two covers for each, an original plain text cover and later reissue with the same photograph used on (PRLP 116); also two different label names: Prestige and New Jazz
... further, track 1 is a bonus track added to the CD, not on the original LP, and one of the other tracks was historically mistitled, see the discogs entry, which quotes from the CD liner notes
