Notability

[edit]

This seems like a pretty clear case of WP:BLP1E. His dad is notable, but a quick googling doesn't turn up any sources that aren't about his role as a passenger on the missing Titan submersible. Should probably be redirected to 2023 Titan submersible incident. -- Scott Burley (talk) 20:36, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Not notable apart from that event. Tayste (edits) 03:03, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, not necessary beyond mentioning him in the main article. As sad as his passing is. Adrw000 (talk) 05:03, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think we should keep it in memory of him. Yusuf Michael (talk) 05:35, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

this is not a vote people. Schierbecker (talk) 02:21, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Full agreement here. Killuminator (talk) 21:31, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Strong Delete. I agree with both statements. I only carried out a page clean-up and fixed bare links which could suffer from link rot as it was practically abandoned by its creator. It is one of those cases where notable parents don't necessarily equal notability. Maybe this could be expanded upon in the future for being a passenger of Titan, but I say for now, delete. Agree There is nothing of significance in this page that isn't already included in 2023 Titan submersible incident or Shahzada Dawood pages. Noahpeaslee11 (talk) 22:01, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Delete - person has no notability beyond the Titan disaster. RIP.2604:3D09:C77:4E00:75C2:2A34:480C:AB4E (talk) 22:08, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Strong Delete - There is nothing noteworthy about this article that is not in Shahzada Dawood, except for personal subjects such as interests and schooling. With all due respect. Usedbook (talk) 22:10, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This is not the correct venue to discuss the deletion of this article. Please see: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Suleman Dawood. Schierbecker (talk) 22:30, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Duly noted. Apologies and thank you for the heads up. I had given my two cents here in good faith. Mechanical Elephant (talk) 22:34, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Agree Just because the incident was notable doesn't mean all of the victims were. It should direct to the incident's wiki article. Meme scholar0 (talk) 01:58, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
