Dear @Chris90909,

For a couple of years I have been making wiki pages for anti-racist figures active in trade unions across the British Empire. Some of my key contributions include creating the pages Billy Strachan, David Ivon Jones, Trevor Carter, and Dorothy Kuya. I was about to create a wiki page for Surat Alley, only to find you had beaten me to it by a couple of days.

Once you are done with the majority of your edits, I would like to help by combing the literature for references to Surat Alley. Please notify me when you are finished with what you consider the final draft, and again I am so happy to see somebody putting in the work to add such an incredible topic to wikipedia. Hello, that sounds great. I came across him reading about the 1945 Pan-African Conference and realised he popped up in lots of places. You can start adding whenever you like, treat this as the final draft, I had uploaded a more complete profile but it was all taken down for copyright reasons which has taken the wind out of my sails on editting it. It is the 1945 Pan-African Congress which caused me to start using Wikipedia as I wanted to create a richer picture of the attendees beyond the couple of sentences I found in a book. An interesting and important part of UK/Manchester history...many trade unionists of the British Empire attended. Perhaps you might take an interest.
