I prefer to wait for a while. It seems this is something just announced yesterday and details are still being worked out. Wikipedia is a lagging indicator and the significance of the event is not visible immediately. It would be best to wait for a couple of weeks for additional coverage and then I can update it. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 09:23, 3 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@SJCCNOV11: I might consider adding a section on acquisitions to the article. If you don't mind could you compile a list of references (Straits Times or any other well known newspaper will do). --Lemongirl942 (talk) 02:38, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Lemongirl942: Hi there, just like to find out if we can start including the acquisition of SMEC SJCCNOV11 (talk) 27 September 2016
@SJCCNOV11: I will add the SMEC acquisition since it is a major one. However, I will not be adding the others as they don't seem to be major ones. This is because Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia and not an online profile for a company. It is supposed to summarise information and we go by WP:WEIGHT. As such, we do not add every single information, but only the major ones. As for the number of employees, I suggest am a bit hesitant to change because the sources only talk about a planned acquisition and says that the combined employees of both are 10000. It doesn't however say that Surbana Jurong is 10000. I suggest leaving it at 4000 until we get a better source. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 13:04, 27 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is a writeup on Surbana Jurong that you may add in to the write up if it is applicable -

Surbana Jurong (SJ) has a rich 50-year heritage in the development of Singapore’s urban, industrial and infrastructure landscape. SJ traces its roots to the Housing Development Board (HDB) and the Jurong Town Corporation (JTC), agencies synonymous with Singapore’s early township and industrialisation efforts.

Headquartered in Singapore, Surbana Jurong Private Limited (SJ) was formed in June 2015 through the merger of renowned urban planning & affordable housing design expert Surbana International Consultants, and Jurong International, Singapore’s premiere industrial and infrastructure engineering design stalwart.

In August 2016, SJ completed a transformational merger with world-renowned infrastructure engineering designer SMEC Holdings. With this complementary merger, SJ now boasts a combined global workforce of 10,000 employees in over 95 offices across 40 countries in Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas. SJ is also presently the largest Asia-based urban, industrial and infrastructure consulting firm. SJ today provides one-stop consultancy solutions across the entire value chain of urbanisation, industrialisation and infrastructure domains.

SJ’s motto ‘Building Cities, Shaping Lives’ reflects its belief that development is more than just steel and concrete. SJ creates spaces and infrastructure services where people live, work and play, shaping cities into homes with sustainable jobs where communities and businesses can flourish. @SJCCNOV11: This is way too promotional. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and per WP:NOTPROMO we are not supposed to promote a company. Words like "world-renowned" are WP:PEACOCK. I think the current article is fine as it is. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 02:36, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Lemongirl942: Noted on the above. Thanks. SJCCNOV11 (talk) 09:27, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
