This article was created at Sven(Voltron), perhaps because there was already a redirect at "Sven (Voltron)". Dwanyewest, are you comfortable with having the non-spaced title (now a redirect) deleted? (Same goes for Hunk(Voltron).) --BDD (talk) 16:50, 28 January 2019 (UTC)

Article should be Split
[edit]Sven and Shiro are clearly two different characters. The merger that has taken place is clearly unnecessary. I think the article's should be split again.Dwanyewest (talk)
- @Dwanyewest: Takashi Shirogane was introduced in the Japanese Beast King GoLion in 1981. In 1984, his character was renamed Sven Holgersson in the English dub Voltron: Legendary Defender. While this dub did spawn the Voltron franchise, the Sven name did not appear again but for a brief appearance in Voltron Force, and when the character next appeared in Voltron: Legendary Defender, their original Japanese name was used accompanied by the nickname "Shiro", with the English dub name "Sven" (and its Norwegian accent) being humourously referenced in the third season by have an alternate universe version of Takashi Shirogane be named Sven. - They were slightly different characterisation-wise in Legendary Defender from how they were depicted in the original series, but every character in that series was, from Pidge to Lance to Lotor, and their arc remained the same. It may be a better idea to rename the page Takashi Shirogane, as that name has been used more (and first). Milkine (talk) 09:09, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
Notable?
[edit]These sources are pretty weak. They're mostly about Voltron itself. Voltron: Legendary Defender also already talks about the LGBT themes in a section, so the criticisms could probably be mentioned there. 2605:B40:1303:900:A842:6D2D:8AA1:2985 (talk) 02:38, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
