Origin of name?

[edit]

Which Fairfax is the ship named after? Anybody know? --Howdybob 22:36, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Flag

[edit]

According to both Equasis and Lloyds Register, the ship is still Marshall Islands flag so I removed the reference to Belgian flag. Anyone with conflicting info is welcome to add.Offshore1 04:10, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Hellspont section comes off as an advertisement and not something that meets Wiki's formatting guidelines.

Picture

[edit]

The picture in this article refers the the ship entering the US, when she is quite clearly at anchor. 58.172.58.200 (talk) 08:53, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

See the legend of the original image Commons:File:Hellespont Alhambra-223713.jpg for explanation. Sv1xv (talk) 13:07, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FSO's?

[edit]

The TI Asia has been converted to a storage vessel. http://www.aukevisser.nl/supertankers/id350.htm Are the other ships of the class so fated? Mytg8 (talk) 04:58, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Seawise Giant the largest?

[edit]

Sorry, the largest ships ever built are the quartet Batillus Class, at 275,000 gross tons. The Seawise Giant measured 260,000 gross tons.
