Streamlined carved ornamentations

[edit]

What does "streamlined" mean in the description of the roof as having "streamlined carved ornamentations"? Are they meant to be aerodynamically streamlined, like a Streamliner? Or maybe they're "simplified" compared to roof ornamentations on other structures? Phlar (talk) 19:25, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The corresponding article on Chinese Wikipedia describes it as having the "East Asian hip-and-gable roof common in traditional Taiwanese architecture" ("屋頂為傳統臺灣建築常見的單簷重脊歇山式屋頂") but doesn't say anything about the roof ornamentation. Phlar (talk) 20:25, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
