The TUU are not political. Except when it comes to ASOL. Stupid president.

I declare that I hope this does not come back to haunt me.

Calling it "ASOL" is incorrect, since it's not anti-student or anti-student organisation. Phanatical 18:22, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to add a wikitable to expand the past presidents section to become a past executives table eg. year president, treasurer, vp, secretary etc. but had technical problems (user not computer). I think this would add to the article.

Update: Amalgmation

[edit]

Due to the fact that the Student Assosation is defunct, this article needs to be updated as per the amalgamation of the TUU to cover Launceston, Hobart and Cradle Coast campuses. Katana Geldar 09:16, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Major revisions by ChurchillAve

[edit]

Editor ChurchillAve recently removed a large portion of the sourced content of this article, replacing it with a smaller amount of unsourced content. I reverted those edits as did an IP editor. I suggested that ChurchillAve propose their changes here and reach consensus before making drastic revisions. While they haven't come here yet they did explain to me with this edit on my talk page that their changes have the approval of the Tasmanian University Student Association management which prefers a simpler Wikipedia page.

The subjects of Wikipedia articles have no ownership of those articles. Their representatives are welcome to suggest changes here on the talk page. They are strongly discouraged from directly editing the article per the conflict of interest policy. Editor Tacyarg has provide guidance regarding conflict of interest on ChurchillAve's talk page.

ChurchillAve requested that I restore their changes. Existing sourced content can be removed from an article. However, a third party's preference for a more compact article is not an adequate justification. All new material added should be based on published reliable sources and none of it was sourced in ChurchillAve's edits. For those reason I won't restore those changes at this time.
