Note to future editors: specious rumors have been circulating on social media networks stating that his bees were seized because they were resistant to Monsanto's Roundup. Since Roundup is an herbicide, and thus targets plants, it doesn't really mean much to say that insects were immune resistant to it. An example of such a meme can be found here. In case that disappears, the text of the meme is: "Naturalist Discovers Bees Resistant to Monsanto's Roundup; All Bees Illegally Seized and All Queens Killed. 'They ruined 15 years of my research.' - Terrence Ingram" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.43.219.6 (talk) 22:33, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Note on the above: Ingram alledges that his research showed that round up was a cause of mass bee die offs. Whether or not this is the case it makes a bee strain that is immune to this herbicide relevant to his reasearch and not someone failing to understand that herbicides are designed to target plants and not insects. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.100.110.5 (talk) 03:15, 9 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

the section "bees" is poorly sourced. One link is dead, the other an opinion website . please add sources which are preferably from a newspaper of record. Benvenuto (talk) 09:59, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Orphan article message

[edit]

Please help this orphan article by adding links to it in related articles and lists. Once it has an incoming link from at least one article or list, the orphan tag can be removed (disambiguation pages, redirects and draft articles do not count). Three or more incoming links are ideal. The Find link tool may help, but not in all cases.
