I notice some joker seems to have incorrectly added Gillian Anderson as a guest star to numerous episodes; and probably others too. Some of the episode summaries also seem to be well off the mark. Has anybody got the time and energy to make corrections? Danielbowen (talk) 11:15, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, most of the guest stars and episode descriptions are hilariously wrong. Someone obviously had too much time on their hands. I wonder if User:TedRoach, who is correcting the episode descriptions, is currently watching through this series on the ABC as I am. :) 220.240.120.137 (talk) 15:14, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I apologise that I haven't answered this message sooner, but it has taken me that long to work out how to respond. Yes I have been watching the reruns of "The Bill" on the ABC which has brought about the unexpected task of editing Wikipedia. It is obvious that whoever wrote the summaries and added the guest stars for Series 6 & 7 was either watching X-Files or was just concocting any old rubbish, because most of the time they bore no relationship to the actual show. The embarrassing thing for me was that it appeared the ABC was using Wikipedia as the source for the episode summaries displayed in TV guides, including the electronic program guide. Lately, I notice that this reliance has lessened. One benefit of having the offbeat summaries was that there were no plot spoilers, just surprises. TedRoach (talk) 17:48, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
