Poster

[edit]

Hey, Film Fan, I understand your concern about the File:The Boy and The World Film Poster.jpg but it's a consensus of WP:FILM that we should use the original poster as WP:FilmPoster says "Ideally, an image of the film's original theatrical release poster should be uploaded and added to the infobox to serve as an identifying image for the article." If you disagree you should dispute this at the project talk page. For now, it cannot be a matter of personal preference; rather it should be based on our guidelines. This is English Wikipedia, and I uploaded the poster from the original theatrical release in the English-speaking world. Images are supposed to provide visual identification for readers of the English language, most of whom reside in English-speaking countries. The discussion belongs here, as the guideline is deliberately ambiguous. — Film Fan 22:13, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
