Notability[edit]

@Rosguill: Hello, I don't think it was, nor is nor can be very fair to question this film's notability. You removed 2 refs considering they are no reviews. Sure. You will note however that they contain a critical assessment. I will add it to the page (and not call them reviews, if that helps). But they are part of the reception. You could (in my opinion, should) have left them and changed the text, don't you think? Also the film received SEVENTEEN nominations at the GOYAS. 17. Please do not re-add the tag again. Thanks in advance.-My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 19:35, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't remove any references; I moved them to a more appropriate location in the article as they aren't reviews, and frankly your usage of them makes me question your understanding of Spanish Kulturklik is a promotional website, as they themselves disclose Kulturklik es una agenda cultural abierta que hacemos entre todos y todas. Si lo deseas nos puedes hacer llegar a través de este formulario el evento que quieras que publiquemos.. the Kurutziaga source is an unbylined press release. Further, a single film receiving 17 nominations at a single awards ceremony is typically a sign that the awards in question are not terribly selective. signed, Rosguill talk 19:41, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed you hadn't removed the refs, my bad. -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 19:50, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Mushy Yank, {{in use}} isn't a license to ignore objections to sources being used. Feel free to add actual reliable sources to the article. signed, Rosguill talk 19:46, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe not but I AM taking note of your objections. -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 19:49, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You evidently aren't if you're still treating those two sources as reliable independent coverage. signed, Rosguill talk 19:52, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
.....
Maybe they are not reviews but they contain a critical assessment. You can think what you want of my Spanish, thank you. And as for your comment on the Goyas, well, ....no comment. I don't think those sources are as bad as you say. And PLEASE do not edit a page when a IN USE template is on it. Thanks. -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 19:48, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Resolved

-My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 09:49, 30 January 2024 (UTC)If the user who challenged the film's notability wishes, they now are free to take this to Afd but please do not add the notability tag again (See the template doc), thank you in advance.[reply]

Add or not? In the Reception Section[edit]

The Spanish website Kulturklik found that it was "a film that allows us to see how music and humour are great allies when it comes to channeling our emotions. A story where difference is a sign of originality and shows that success is not about reaching heights, but about knowing how to do it in good company without ever losing your dream." while Kurutziaga ikastola stated that "the result is, probably, the craziest and funnest work that Lotura Films has done so far, both for children and adults."

At the kind suggestion of another user, removed for now.-My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 20:16, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As noted above, Kulturklik (not "kritik") is a promotional website that incorporates user-submitted content: note how the "review" includes geographic, ticketing and metadata information, but lacks a byline, and see the same site's submission page.
Similarly, Kurutziaga Ikastola is not a professional publication: it is a cultural cooperative organization. It has a news section on its website, but it does not have a professional editorial staff or journalistic policy (see their organizational chart). They routinely post promotional blurbs for Basque-related films (e.g. [1]); these are not professional, reliable reviews, they are unbylined press releases intended to promote the films in question to the cooperative's community. signed, Rosguill talk 20:28, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
