Talk:The Fun Zimbabwe Ride 2009
Fun Zimbabwe ride is a special event designed to internationally fund raise for building a children's home in Zimbabwe. It is also designed to be a regular event involving a bike ride from Bulawayo to Masvingo to Harare, to raise the profile of the plight of children in Zimbabwe, 25% of whom are orphans.
The article is about the event and how it will work out as an event. It is the first instance of the event and is therefore of Interest.
It is not short, because most of it will be added after April when it has taken place.
My article has context under paragraph 1 of Applicable criteria. It is a historical event of interest to a lot people in at least five countries who have helped it take place. It is not in other than English It has content in that it is a clear description of an actual event which can be verified and will be monitored online by observers when it happens Under Paragraph 7 this article is not subject to he criteria for deletion in that it is about an event and not about the people or the organisation. It charts the way an event came to be and how it will be carried out and for what purpose. It is not an imaginary event, but a well publicised real event with organisers is three continents and trackers everywhere. It clearly says why it is significant, namely that it takes place in a country assumed to be dangerous on all levels and that the organisers have set out to show that the event is possible and will take place. It also clearly states that it is promoting the use of a bicycle as an environmentaly friendly means of transport which should be considered by those who can have it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Acmupasi (talk • contribs) 14:16, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit]I respectfully believe that perhaps instead of listing out what children were given in a bullet list, we could write it out for better tone such as:
Items that were given to children include pencils, balloons, toys, and a microscope was even given to a school that used H.E.L.P the most.
This change may help give the article a more encyclopedic tone. I want to ask first before changing it because this is a large change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skullovitch (talk • contribs) 17:45, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
