chakras

[edit]

I think that we need a section to cover the concept of the Chakras as it pertains to the world of Avatar. from the point of view of someone who hasn't seen the episode, they might not be able to understand the reference. -(Y.krzepicki 03:31, 2 December 2006 (UTC))[reply]

When we get a chance to absolutly sit down and create a meaningful summary, it will be listed there. Right now all we're doing is reverting spam. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 03:37, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Concensus on the chakras? I heard the four elements, sound, light, and I missed the last one. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 03:44, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure it's thought which is what we have now. -Dylan0513 03:45, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The chakras here are the same as those in Hinduism, verbaitum. Hence why I added the link to Chakras in their description down in the notes. Same focus, location, and names. Minus the thought one, which is actually Space, but it does refer to Cosmic energy... Aang-kai 03:53, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone know why the chakras are bold? H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 17:08, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

i have now found the artical, i think you should make the chakra artical easyer to find

Some of the information about the chakras in this article should be merged with Chakra (Avatar: The Last Airbender) and only details relevant to the plot should be left. I have removed the links to the real chakras - Connecting the fictional ones represented in the show and the real ones is POV. Sfacets 21:52, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Two part episode?

[edit]

When the pages for 'The Guru' and 'The Crossroads of Destiny' were first around, it said they were a two part episode. The new article doens't mention it. So is it two part or no? Or do we not know... (61.91.191.8 14:19, 15 November 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Well, the given airdates are the same, and at least part of the descriptions we have seem to suggest that. Guru says Azula's planning something, and in Crossroads "the heroes work together to stop Azula's destructive plans", so it sounds like a two part deal, even if they aren't officially classifed as such. I'd wait till we have more info and/or they air to say anything on the articles, though.--Fyre2387 (talkcontribs) 17:50, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
They're two part. It's going to be from 8-9 but we'll wait on adding that until the schedule on Tvguide.com has them. -Dylan0513 20:35, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Rather than actually being a two part episode, these two episodes are both parts of the season finale.
-(Y.krzepicki 03:28, 2 December 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Can someone add more to the episode plot?

Dude we can't even get INTO the page right now due to all the vandals. By tomorrow we MIGHT have a chance to actually touch the plot, but I doubt it. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 02:44, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There you go. Two hours of writing and countless rewinds, you have a detailed synopsis. I will do Crossroads of Destiny tomorrow morning, unless someone else makes a huge edit. Aang-kai 06:15, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Did you guys see that Toph can bend metal. Is it because metal is just a different form of earth

I think it was just Toph bending the unprocessed earth that was still in the metal...

important developments

[edit]

is that section really necessary it has been covered in the plot summery, if not then i'll remove NekrosKoma 06:24, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't even see that. Anyway, if you ever see a note that is mentioned in the synopsis, delete the note as it isn't necessary. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 06:27, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Star Wars

[edit]

Should we be giving similarities between Star Wars and Avatar? I know there are similarities in the Season Finale, and hints to even more, but is it necessary? Aang-kai 16:39, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Too many f-ing pictures

[edit]

I think we need to remove a bunch of the images. Most of them are just plain pointless (Iroh running on the map, Aang tasting cactus juice, Azula smirking, etc.). There are also far more important scenes that should be represented. Y BCZ 20:52, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that there were way too many pictures before, but now there's too few. Apart from leaving out many important scenes that should be included, the article is now one huge block of solid text, it's visually unappealing. I know pictures aren't here to make these articles look pretty, but it'd just be easier to read if it wasn't so much black and white. JBK405 22:19, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. I placed the pictures in as a way to make the text appealing. I agree there were too many, but a few of them I saw as pertinent to the episode. I will put a few back in, and we can add more or less, which ever is necessary
Aang-kai 22:14, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We just gotta make sure to follow WP:FUC. Basically, pictures can't be used as decoration. They need to have some important meaning or present helpful information about the subject. The ones I deleted really had no actual value other than making it visually appealing. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 22:27, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I added in a picture of Sokka, Hakoda, and Bato constructing a Tangle Mine, so that we know what those are. The picture of Guru Pathik and Aang meeting I am not sure about, and the one with Katara telling the Ozai's Angels...again....not sure... Aang-kai 22:37, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Katara talking to the others doesn't really show anything important, I think a short discription in the synopsis is enough to get it. The Tangle Mines are ok. The Guru picture could be used but not THAT one, there is nothing special or descriptive about them just sitting. I think a better picture would of one of the chakra's, like maybe the Air one. Either way, ALL the pictures used on this page need a fair use rational and a copyright. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 22:45, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well...As they are from AvatarSpirit.net, and they have goven us permission to use their screenshots as long as we give them credit, I believe that works as a fair use rational. Aang-kai 23:00, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's not exactly what a fair use rationale is, that's more of a copyright status. H2P (Yell at me for what I've done) 23:06, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think it falls under either the "CopyrightedFreeUse-Link" (The image is free to use for any purpose, but requests an entirely optional link back to either Wikipedia or another site.) or the "CopyrightedFreeUseProvidedThat|restrictions" (For example, provided that credit is given and copyright is attributed) as they have requested we provide a link. I just emailed the staff of AvatarSpirit to get specific information regarding the use of these pictures. Aang-kai 23:39, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thing is, AvatarSpirit isn't the copyright owner, Nickelodeon is. Thus, just use {{tv-screenshot}} and provide Avatar Spirit as the source in the image's summary page. Not complicated.--Fyre2387 (talkcontribs) 18:51, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've added source and copyright status to the images on this page, they still need use rationales, though.--Fyre2387 (talkcontribs) 19:01, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Metal Bending

[edit]

Avatar Roku in the episode "Avatar Roku" did metal bending? I think when aang comes out of avatar temple possessed by Roku, he frees katara, sokka and Zuko using metal bending. What do u guys say? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 61.246.221.195 (talkcontribs) 09:30, 4 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

I simply think that was the disentigration of metal by intensly focused heat, or simply a spirit magic, taking something and making it disappear. If memory servs correct, the chains turn bright red and the disentigrate, which would imply heating Aang-kai 10:52, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Guru Pathik

[edit]

All the Guru Pathik links need to be checked and fixed. --69.136.111.100 00:05, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean? The Guru Pathik link first works. Aang-kai 21:42, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
someone removed him from the page earlier but it was fixed. Cnriaczoy42 22:09, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Illegal move

[edit]

Do not move pages by copying and pasting. Valuable edit history is lost, and it’s just plain rude at that. If you think you have a valid case for a blocked move, such as moving over a redirect, make your proposal at Wikipedia:Requested moves. --WikidSmaht (talk) 09:08, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vulcan Nerve Pinch

[edit]

Someone keeps putting that the way Ty Lee disables Katara is similar to the vulcan nerve pinch. Should it stay in the article or not?

Not. Ty Lee uses dozens of different pressure-points to disable an individual, this one just happens to be on Katara's neck. There's more to the Vulcan Nerve Pinch than simply touching a persons shoulder. JBK405 00:34, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aang fire-bending?

[edit]

When did Aang attempt fire-bending? 70.69.206.62 04:34, 17 March 2007 (UTC)Proper[reply]

In "The Deserter".--Fyre2387 (talkcontribs) 18:22, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pleasure Chakra

[edit]

Why was the infomation stating why it's location was not mentioned removed? 74.229.215.99 22:39, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
