The result of the move request was: pages moved as requested per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 18:27, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
- The Jenny McCarthy Show (2013) → The Jenny McCarthy Show (2013 talk show)
- The Jenny McCarthy Show (1997) → The Jenny McCarthy Show (1997 TV series)
– Both articles are currently incorrectly disambiguated under WP:NCTV. The 2013 TV show is a talk show that aired on VH1. The 1997 TV show was a variety (and sketch comedy?) series that aired on MTV. They both need to be moved as per WP:NCTV. While theoretically, moving them to simply The Jenny McCarthy Show (talk show) and The Jenny McCarthy Show (TV series) might be sufficient disambiguation, in this case, I think including the additional "by year" disambiguation is preferable. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 17:31, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- Support the first. Is variety usually disambiguated as TV series or TV program? EDIT: Support the second also. --Gonnym (talk) 20:56, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- "Variety show" examples that are disambiguated that I can find are: The Good Old Days (UK TV series), The Johnny Cash Show (TV series), The Midnight Special (TV series), Tony Orlando and Dawn (TV series), Donny & Marie (1976 TV series), Sha Na Na (TV series), and Cher (TV series) – so "TV series" seems standard. Similarly, I think sketch comedy shows are also usually disambiguated with "TV series" – e.g. On the Spot (2003 TV series). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 21:07, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- If that's the case then I'll add my support for the second as well. --Gonnym (talk) 21:09, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
