Order[edit]

Don't the minisodes usually precede the the first paragraph of the plot? ZarhanFastfire (talk) 04:36, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Corrections[edit]

The Sisterhood was responsible for regenerating the the FOX/McGann Doctor into the War Doctor. There was a minisode wrapped around this. The Sisters were present and shown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-U3jrS-uhuo — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.161.220.113 (talk) 13:43, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's already mentioned in The Night of the Doctor. DonQuixote (talk) 13:45, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Currently the plot summary has this: Davros "tells the Doctor that he remembers what he did when he was a little boy and reveals that he intends to destroy everything the Doctor loves before finally killing him". I'm watching this on Space in Canada and have not anything like those lines uttered. In fact they seem contradicted by Davros saying he has no control over what his children (the Daleks) do. Can someone with access to the UK broadcast confirm or deny and edit accordingly? (User:AlexTheWhovian?) I don't want to remove this if it turn out to be there--though I will want to have words with Space for editing it out. ZarhanFastfire (talk) 00:18, 21 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, I'm not in the UK. Secondly, what you've stated is probably the continuation of this two-parter. Alex|The|Whovian 05:03, 21 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Missy[edit]

No mention of Missy quoting the first few lines of Toni Basil's Hey Mickey (song)?  Stepho  talk  06:31, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Stepho-wrs: Why would that be necessary? Alex|The|Whovian 09:40, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Because that is what Missy uses as her message to UNIT at the start of the episode replacing Mickey with Missy, duh!! and this back references her singing the same in Death in Heaven, okay AlextheWhovian?86.5.134.132 (talk) 20:29, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That alone doesn't make it significant enough for an encyclopaedia article. DonQuixote (talk) 20:32, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Not saying it does DonQuixote, but perhaps its as note worthy as the use of Roy Orbisons Oh Pretty Woman, which is noted in this aticle. Your call of course.20:54, 23 September 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.5.134.132 (talk)
If you can cite a reliable source that considers it noteworthy, then probably. DonQuixote (talk) 21:03, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Could be a bit tricky to find a reference. The other references are by British authors. I believe the original song was popular in the US (Toni Basil's home) and Australia (my home) but not in Britain. So most Brits would not recognise it as a near quote - certainly not the younger ones. Finding a non-British reference to a very British show is also hard. All I can say is that when I read the first line of Missy's message I thought "nice coincidence - wouldn't it be strange if that continued into the rest of the Mickey song." And it did!  Stepho  talk  08:08, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Top 3 for 3 weeks in UK, top ten for 4 weeks, in Top 40 for 11 weeks. No reason it wouldn't be noticed by older viewers. But relevant? GraemeLeggett (talk) 11:02, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Relevent in the sense that Moffat likes "Calling Cards " for characters example "Hello Sweetie" for Riversong/Melody Pond, thinking this maybe one for Missy, do you get what I mean?86.5.134.132 (talk) 19:59, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Continuity[edit]

Is nobody going to address the fact that prior to this episode, the last time Davros was in an episode his ship was exploding? Neither episode addressed this and I feel like this omission should easily be significant enough to mention here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.217.34.171 (talk) 12:08, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please cite a reliable source stating that this is notable. DonQuixote (talk) 16:05, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Well it is true that previous to this episode the last time we saw Davros he was trapped under a girder on the exploding Dalek ship involved in his reality bomb experiments, wheather that is notable or not?? Also at the end of "Remembrance of the Daleks" the Doctor sent the "hand of Omega" to destroy Skaro, and it did! is that notable???86.5.134.132 (talk) 01:28, 1 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
A source is still required for its notability. Alex|The|Whovian 01:32, 1 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Boy/Young Davros[edit]

There has been a dispute over what the character in the heading should be credited as. I reckon he should be credited as 'Young Davros', as it gives more infomation than just 'Boy', but editors such as AlexTheWhovian reckon he should be credited as 'Boy' as that is the name in the credits published by the BBC.Theoosmond (talk) 18:42, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Characters are named as credited. The link is made clear enough in the plot section. But drawing such infomration from the plot into the real-world context of the article itself is a form of original research, and is not in line with WP:FICTION. -- User:Edokter talk 20:58, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Understood, but I will make from that credit to Davros' Wikipedia pageTheoosmond (talk) 21:06, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That still introduces original research outside the plot section. -- User:Edokter talk 11:55, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I'm confused. The Boy is Davros, so why can't a basic link be made? Also, what is original research exactly?Theoosmond (talk) 18:57, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You continue to think in-universe. Inside the story, the boy is Davros. In the real-world context of (making) the episode, the actor plays a boy, and is credited as such, no matter what he turns out to be inside the story; it is simply not relevant. -- User:Edokter talk 19:30, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Even though the "boy" tells The Doctor his name is Davros you don't think that is relevant?, you guys need to take the stick out of your ass!!!!86.5.134.132 (talk) 00:51, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You clearly don't understand. The cast list in the infobox directly reflects the end credits of the episode. If he was credited as "Boy", he's listed in the cast list as "Boy". The plot section is for where he's named Davros. Alex|The|Whovian 01:56, 15 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
