Fair use rationale for Image:Oas.jpg

[edit]

Image:Oas.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Screenplay and Direction

[edit]

According to at least 2 sources, Nagle wrote the film's screenplay and was a director (see https://variety.com/2002/scene/people-news/william-billy-nagle-1117863653/ and https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/local/2002/03/08/deaths/5c093c65-e02d-4d85-b917-3976b8d9e521/). This is in contrast to the introduction (sourced to IMDB) that has the film "written, directed and produced by Tom Jeffrey". Unless there is dissenting opinion, I will add that Nagle wrote the screenplay. Spinifex&Sand (talk) 02:22, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I note that IMDB useage is disputed for sections such as "the crew lists, release dates, company credits" - see WP:CITINGIMDB. However, further research shows that according to the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia, Jeffrey wrote the screenplay and directed the film. The actual film lists Jeffrey as the Director and does not mention Nagle as writing the screenplay. On the basis of these sources, I will not change.
